Bonnie & Taylor Sims Band

Bonnie's first year at South Plains College was Taylor's last, and they are so grateful for that sweet overlap. They were both awarded Best Vocalist (Bluegrass: Male/Female) in the end of semester awards and the school assigned them a duet to perform -- they have been making music together since that night. After finishing school and getting married, Bonnie joined Taylor in Colorado and they began building their reputation on the Front Range in Bonnie & the Clydeswhile Taylor also continued touring for many years in his original project, Spring Creek. Playing countless live shows and festivals around CO and the Western US; tours to Germany, Canada and Sweden; multiple studio albums; exciting collaborations with other area musicians and hundreds of students through summer camps and private lessons soon followed as Bonnie & Taylor established themselves as a potent creative force of the vibrant Colorado music scene.

Bonnie & Taylor Sims have recorded a killer new album with plans for a fall 2023 full release and singles will be released starting mid-June.  This record is a collection of songs that define the new sound and new direction for Bonnie and Taylor in their unique western roots style.  Songs that grew out of a shifting world marked by the juxtaposition of  beauty and pain, hope and destruction. The album reveals a sound that blends bleeding pop rock with acoustic troubadour wit as the musicians explore and create together. Joined by bassist Bradley Morse and Kevin Matthews on drums this record is a refreshing showcase of seasoned songwriting, production and performances.

Halden Wofford & the Hi*Beams

With an unapologetic embrace of the twang, Halden Wofford & the Hi*Beams ride out from the cutting edge cowtown of Denver, Colorado. Rootsy and real, neither revivalist nor retro, the Hi*Beams' brand of country music is as boundless and electrifying as America itself. From Red Rocks to rodeos, the Fillmore Auditorium to the back of a flatbed truck, to Prairie Home Companion, Kate Wolf Festival, and performing arts centers, Halden Wofford & the Hi*Beams deliver an unforgettable and original night of American music.

On the band's 6th studio recording, Hard Core Broken Heart (Oct 25, 2018), there's something for every country fan on your block. It is also the first album to enlist outside producer, Bill Kirchen. Known the world over from his seminal work with Commander Cody in the '60s and '70s, his time recording and touring with the likes of Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe and Link Wray, and his current standing as an Austin guitar hero. The album also features special appearances by Mollie O'Brien singing and Bill on guitar.
